Organic Start’s crab product is available in both Crab Powder (37 micron, 0.037mm) and Crab Meal (250 micron, 0.25mm) form.

 

Crab Powder is soluble for spray or liquid applications. It holds extraordinary amounts of calcium, as well as moderate nitrogen and phosphate values; and a wide spectrum of trace minerals, as you would expect from a creature that lives in the ocean.

 

Crab Powder is exceptional nutrition for the ‘soil food web’. It is known to eliminate various soil issues, along with ‘root-knot’ and nematodes. It’s the perfect broad spectrum, single source organic fertiliser – improving the quality of crop yields in an all-natural way. The secret to Crab Powder is its Chitin content, which sits at an average of 25-30%. Chitin provides an abundance of nitrogen to the soil medium, offering significant benefits to living organisms. Chitin strengthens the microbiome, and allows plant life to produce chlorophyll!

 

Additionally, Crab Powder can improve water holding capacity, soil texture and soil aeration for better root development.

 

All Organic Start products are run through phytosanitary checks and an organic vector elimination process prior to export, which guarantees their safety and efficacy. Our crab shell is rescued from by-product of the seafood industry; the shells are separated and trucked to a dedicated processing facility, where crab shells are super-heated and refined through a 400-mesh screen to eliminate vectors and impurities.
